Ralph is a monthly Australian magazine published by ACP Magazines, a division of PBL Media. It was first published in August 1997.
Ralph is known as a men’s mag, in the vein of other publications such as Maxim and Loaded.
Similar to its rivals FHM and Zoo Weekly, it publishes photos of scantily-clad models and female celebrities, without revealing their genitals or breasts. This allows for the magazine to be sold in the lifestyle sections of newsagencies, and in other retailers such as department stores and supermarkets.
It describes itself this way:
“Whether it is adventure, sport, fashion, travel, music, boys toys, beautiful women or life’s essential how tos, Ralph provides an environment that is purely Australian … Ralph readers compare it to being like a conversation with one of their mates.”
Ralph features photo shoots of Australian celebrities as well as international stars. The magazine is often cross-promoted on other ACP and PBL properties, such as promotional parties held in conjunction with Cosmopolitan, and as a sponsor of home viewer competitions during the Fox Network’s rugby league coverage.
It contains the same kinds of articles published in similar titles, and runs its own poll to find the “world’s sexiest woman”. The results are published in an attachment to the regular magazine each year. Unlike FHM, it features 200 women instead of FHM’s 100, but Ralph’s polling only takes in Australia and New Zealand (where a separate edition is produced), whereas FHM’s poll is worldwide.

Miranda Leonhardt begann ihre Karriere 1996 beim Theater. Beim Laiensclub des Schauspielhauses in Frankfurt am Main spielte sie u. a. die Maria in der West Side Story. Ihr Filmdebüt gab sie 1998 im Kurzfilm Zita – Geschichten über Todsünden, der beim Internationalen Filmfestival des Jungen Films in Turin mit dem Spezialpreis der Jury ausgezeichnet wurde. Nach Yara von Yılmaz Arslan folgte 1998 der Kinofilm Solo für Klarinette an der Seite von Götz George und Corinna Harfouch.
Nach zwei Auftritten in der RTL-Serie Die Wache, spielte sie ab 2000 in der ZDF-Serie Bei aller Liebe mit. Weitere kleinere Nebenrollen gab es im Tatort sowie in den Serien Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei, Großstadtrevier und Im Namen des Gesetzes. 2004 spielte sie in der ProSieben-Produktion Sex und mehr die Rolle der Frenzy, mit der sie ab 2005 in der Serie Alles außer Sex einem größeren Publikum bekannt wurde. 2005 spielte sie im Kinofilm Stille Sehnsucht – Warchild von Christian Wagner, der beim Bayerischen Filmpreis 2006 mit dem Spezialpreis der Jury ausgezeichnet wurde. Im April 2008 war sie in der Utta Danella-Verfilmung Mit dir die Sterne sehen zu sehen. Sie spielte die Hauptrolle zusammen mit Roman Knižka und Sonja Kirchberger. Seit 2007 hat Miranda Leonhardt den festen Part der Kriminaltechnikerin Nika Banovic in dem neuen SWR-Tatort mit Richy Müller und Felix Klare als Ermittlerduo übernommen. Seitdem sind 2007 unter der Regie von Elmar Fischer die Folgen Hart an der Grenze und In eigener Sache, sowie 2008 die Folgen Offene Rechnung, Regie Rainer Matsutani, und Das Mädchen Galina, Regie Thomas Freundner, entstanden.
Miranda Leonhardt arbeitet außerdem als Redakteurin für das internationale Magazin Neue Mode Magazine, fotografiert und steht als Gastsängerin mit verschiedenen Rockbands auf der Bühne. Seit 2003 ist sie mit ihrem Landsmann und Schauspielkollegen Mišel Matičević liiert.
